       This essay is to explore the popularity of yaoi in the Gundam Wing series. First and foremost, we do not agree with everything that is popular on the web. This essay will break down each yaoi relationship and tell you why we disagree, agree, or accept a yaoi relationship.
       The first supposed yaoi relationship we will look of that is of Heero Yuy and Duo Maxwell. We do not agree with this relationship. I have seen the whole series and read the mangas. I do not see any proof to support this relationship. Here are scenes that I believe support that Heero cares for Relena romantically and not Duo:

• When Heero falls from the Gundam after fighting with Quatre, the first face he visualizes is that of Relena. He even calls her name.
• Relena, not Duo, inspires him to fight for peace.
• At the end of the Endless Waltz manga, Heero chooses to stay with Relena as a bodyguard. Dou returns home to Hilde. Why would male lovers separate to go stay with females?
• Relena seems to be able to throw Heero off guard. Dou never seems to be able to break through his mental barrier. At least, not to the degree Relena can.
  

        The next relationship is that of Quatre and Trowa. We accept this relationship. I, Amethyst, have even enjoyed reading about it in the fan world. The problem is that it is assumed that the information in Episode Zero is from the creator of Gundam Wing. This is not true. Episode Zero is written and drawn by completely different people. The creator of Gundam Wing had little to do with this manga. So, who is to say that the information presented there is true to the series? This is why I also support Trowa X Catherine stories. Because it only states that they are brother and sister in Episode Zero.
       In short, the founders of this site see no proof of homosexual relationships. This is why this site will contain as little as possible any content supporting this claim. If, you find a link that supports this view wholeheartedly then please send either Dantra or myself an email. We are not anti-yaoi. We just do not agree with the implications that have been applied to the Gundam Wing Universe.
